(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Protesters called for lifting of Tel Aviv’s blockade on Gaza, which has hit 1.6 million residents of the impoverished coastal strip since eight years ago. Demonstrators from different campaign groups, including Orthodox Jews United Against Zionism (NKUSA), carried placards with anti-Israeli slogans reading “End Israeli Occupation”, “End Israeli Apartheid”, “Zionists Have No Right To Rule Over Any Part of the Holy Land” and “End the Siege [on Gaza]”. The protesters, who braved cold winter weather in London during Christmas holidays to mark the anniversary of the Gaza War on Thursday, condemned the “continuing violence and siege against Palestinians living in Gaza” as well as the Israeli regime’s November 2012 assault on the coastal strip that killed over 160 civilians, many of them women and children. December 27th marks the December 2008-January 2009 Israeli onslaught on Gaza, using banned weapons including phosphorus bombs, that left 1430 Palestinians dead.End item/ 149
